Helpful Links

There are a lot of great resources on the internet for people interested in birds. Organizations, associations and groups galore...and their information is available with just a few clicks on a computer. These websites are some of my favorites for bird identification, news and other information. Most of these organizations also have Face Book pages (as well as Twitter) which are great ways to stay connected with up to date information.

I will add more as I think of them. Do you have any favorite bird-related websites?  Let me know in the comment section below.

Cornell Lab of Ornithology All About Birds

I love this website for bird identification. When I'm near a computer and want to familiarize myself with a bird, this is my go-to. They have species information including habitat, nesting, songs & calls, and well as photos of the species. One of my favorite features is when you're looking at pictures it brings up a similar species to help compare. This is helpful in an area where two birds look similar, you can see them side by side. Like so:

National Audubon Society

Need I say more? No, really. The Audubon Society has been a famous source for information regarding bird news, conservation and education. Checking out their website is a great way to find the newest bird issues.
